Wine Country in an RV?
You can imagine your interest when we at a website about “wine roads” encountered an item about RVing to wine country (El Monte RV Promoting California’s Wine Country, RV Business, August 20, 2009). El Monte RV Rentals, a California-based national RV rental company, is promoting California wine country events on their website.
In a conversation that we had with Joe Laing, El Monte RV’s Director of Marketing, he was quick to point out that RV vacations are a low-cost alternative to more traditional vacations. Such cost advantages extend to things like visiting California wine country. He also pointed out that in an RV you can also visit many of the other wonderful attractions of the Golden State on the way to and from wine country (how about Yosemite followed by a visit to some Sierra Foothills wineries?).
Pretty much any direction you point the RV in California you will find wineries and excellent wine (as well as many other wonderful attractions). Kudos to El Monte RV for pointing out another way to travel the wine road…
