Wine Soiree

Decanting a red wine can be useful in two different ways:

  1. It can remove an aged red wine from the sediment that has collected in the bottle making for a more pleasant drinking exprience. Of course, one must be careful. Some older wines do not hold up well to decanting and quickly fade after decanting.
  2. It can help to soften a young red wine helping it to become a little more harmonious.

The Wine Soiree bottle-top wine aerator can remove the decanting fuss from aerating a young red wine. I must admint that I have no personal experience with this, but in concept it seems like it should work.

Do any of my readers have any personal experience with the Wine Soiree?

I just tried Soiree the other day. I even had a “before and after” taste test with my wine. The Soiree really opened up the wine and brought out its full flavor. There is a clear difference and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to taste the full value out of their young bottle of wine.
